Scoring System

I've decided that what this blog needs is a scoring system! That would really set me apart from the other book reviewing sites, wouldn't it? So, without further ado, I give you- the scoring system!

1- Absolutely horrible. Not worth it if it were free. Just cleanse it with fire. LOTS of fire.
2- Still pretty bad. Needs work on the writing, the parts of speech, and the content. Writer should be sent back to 2nd grade.
3- Well, its.... okay. Still not worth a purchase, but if it's from the library, it's worth a read. Mostly Hardy Boys.
4- An alright book. Still needs a little work, but a good gift for someone you don't really like.
5- Average. Like those business books that use a lot of boring words.
6- A pretty good read. Still needs a little work, but all in all, a fairly decent book.
7- Also quite good. Not amazing, but worth an afternoon
8- A good book. Has an interesting story, interesting characters, and well worth buying and reading a few times.
9- Almost perfect. Has excellent writing and is definitely worth reading at least 4 or 5 times.
10- The best book EVAR! Has superb everything. Sells copies in terms of the Bible. Is read all over the world. The writer is interviewed on every talk show everywhere. Even extraterrestrial life loves it. It is that awesome.

  1. What a comprehensive scoring system. I can't wait to find out what the Bookie considers to be a "10." Keep up the reading.

  2. Well, the ten is actually supposed to be almost unreachable. If I rated one book a ten, then the next time a book of that caliber comes out, I would have to rate that book a ten as well, and so on and so forth in a never ending spiral of awesomeness.
