The Lab was a very intense book. It kept me on the edge of my desk the whole time I was reading it. It follows Agent Six of Hearts, who we learn was the product of a genetic experiment. As a result, he can run amazingly fast, has superhuman strength, and can survive the eventually deadly smog of the mega city in which he lives. That's right, a gigantic city controlled by and evil corporation called ChaoSonic. This corporation makes EVERYTHING from the guns to the armor to the boots to the clothes of the enemies that Six of Hearts faces. This evil corporation even owns the food that people eat.However, the agents of the secret vigilante corporation The Deck, which Six belongs too, is dedicated to freeing the people of the city, no matter what it takes. This book is actually very well written, considering that the author, Jack Heath, wrote this book while in high school.
